The Kinfolk Home | Nathan Williams | ARTISAN

Regular price $99.00

Nathan Williams' sure and authentic understanding of what people are seeking in their lives led to his Kinfolk magazine becoming today's most popular indie lifestyle journal, with more social media followers on Instagram and Facebook than any other lifestyle brand. This is his first home-design book, published in 2015, and has the same sure touch, showing how slowing down, simplifying your life and building community reaps dividends in every aspect of your home. A New York Times bestseller, deservedly so.

The Kinfolk Home takes readers inside 35 homes around the world, from the United States, Scandinavia, Japan, and beyond. Some have constructed modern urban homes from blueprints, while others nurture their home's long history. What all of these spaces have in common is that they've been put together carefully, slowly, and with great intention. Featuring inviting photographs and insightful profiles, interviews, and essays, each home tour is guaranteed to inspire.

Meet Nathan Williams Canadian Nathan Williams worked as an analyst for Goldman Sachs while establishing Kinfolk magazine with friends in Portland, Oregon, launched in 2011 as a tiny lifestyle magazine focussed on the idea of slow living. A rapid rise sees the now 33-year old based in Copenhagen with a team, a publishing arm (artshop stocks The Kinfolk Home, The Kinfolk Table and The Kinfolk Entrepreneur) and the original runaway success, Kinfolk quarterly magazine with a circulation of 90,000. Still true to the original slow-living ethos, he describes that as, "Slow living not so much in the way of kicking back and hammocks with cocktails, but more taking the time to really think about what you want to be doing and what feels most beneficial, which is a fairly subjective way of thinking."
